What is the recommended location for installing the shroud and PCB in my front loading NES? Any reference for soldering the lines from the PCB to the NES mainboard? Thanks! Great work.

I’m providing these connectors as is, they work, but I’m not a modder and I do not want to start giving out modding advice.

Do you have recommendations as to where to have the pcbs manufactured?

I also am curious about PCB manufacturing. I would like to make this (I have one of the original HASL boards from Buffalowing) but I can’t find any place able to do small run PCBs in hard gold for less than $100 USD. Do you know a place with decent pricing? If not, there is no economic benefit to this design.

Hard gold is only worthwhile in large quantities.

What should the thickness of the PCB be?

I, too, am wondering about the PCB thickness. I think it’s 1.2mm, but I can’t be sure unless I disassemble a console (which I can’t do at the moment). Calipers don’t fit so well while the console is assembled, but I’m pretty sure it’s 1.2mm.
